Are GRE admission tickets only mailed to you/required for the subject GRE?

I signed up for both the general and subject GRE, for September and October respectively, and have only received a ticket for the subject GRE. I tried calling ETS a few times (call kept dropping!) and looked through the website but am still as clueless as I was before my escapade for information.

Also, if there is no ticket for the general GRE do you bring your list of codes for the 4 programs you want to send your scores to for "free" and then someone at the test center enters them into a computer or something?

Thank you in advance for any clarity you may bring to this chaotic experience.

I'm in the same (nearly exact) boat as you and I've only gotten my ticket for the subject test. For the general test it only says to bring an ID, so hopefully that's all we need.

Emphasis on hopefully! OK, I have a friend who is taking the general test around the same time I am and he hasn't gotten a ticket yet either, so the evidence that we likely only need a ticket for the subject test is looking good.

Thanks for the reply.

I've taken the general test and am about to take the subject test. You only need the admission ticket for the subject test. Good luck
