Hello,

I was wondering whether I should take GRE before MCAT or after MCAT.

But now my question GRE is even necessary (generally) for MD/PhD programs (Medical Scientist Training Program) at most schools. Is GRE necessary?

(I could not find detailed information about GRE on med schools' websites. So, maybe not?)

Thanks.

The consensus is that you DO NOT NEED to take the GREs. Only a few programs "highly recommend" them. (Harvard is the only I know of) Unless you are doing a not traditional PhD, you should not have to take them.
