Has a very solid and competitive GRE scored helped anyone get into a MD/PHD program?

I'm taking the GRE this spring (going to be applying to many professional programs) and I was wondering if a good score would help me.

Thanks

And no, I'm not supplementing my MCAT score -- I am very very satisificed with my mcat score and do not plan to take it over again

...sounds like you're not very committed to the MD/PhD route anyhow...

No im a realistic applicant that has several different interests and hobbies. I would be satisfied doing various things within the healthcare field, from research, practicing medicine, or policy and public health. I'm giving myself options

GRE doesn't matter unless you're interested in a humanities (public health, anthropology, health policy, etc.) or engineering (biomedical, chemical, etc) PhD program for your MD/PhD. This is based off of requests I've seen from some schools. If you're interested in doing research in a field that might be under the umbrella of standard biomedical sciences (biology, genetics, pharmacology, neuroscience, etc.), the GRE is not really necessary. Your MCAT score will ultimately count for way more than the GRE score.

I am very interested in doing a humanities or engineering. As I said, I have many different interests and that's why I love Medicine because it has such a broad scope of practice.
