Does anyone know what PT schools focus more on (scores or percentiles)? (Particularly in regards to the new GRE since I won't start applying until next year)

Also, if there is a 'minimum' score listed is that a safe benchmark or is it like college admission tests where you have to try to get the absolute highest score possible?

Thanks

I think most PT schools use minimum scores they want all applicants to have. They might additionally look at higher scores/percentiles for making acceptance decisions.

The minimum score most schools seemed to use under the old scoring system seemed to be around 1000. I'm not sure how that translates under the new scoring system though. I'm pretty sure that translates to around the 50th percentile though.

Obviously though, go for your absolute best score. Some fellowships and scholarships might only open up to you if you get a high score, so don't sell yourself short by telling yourself you only need the minimum to get by.
