Hi everyone. I recently learned that I'll need to take the GRE for a combined MD/PhD program I'm applying for. Does anyone have any tips for making a study schedule (i.e. how many practice tests to take, how many hours to review total, etcetera) I'm scheduled to take the exam in a little less than four weeks and other than a Princeton Review book I picked up at the bookstore, I have little idea of how to proceed.
Thanks!

Delay it another 4 weeks? Ok...short of that...you are gonna have to condense everything. It is still quite manageable. I know for the Kaplan book they have suggested programs to follow based on different time frames. Take as many of the practice tests as possible.

Study as much as you can. I'd go for the Power Prep software, as it was exactly like what the real test was. The scores were also very accurate to my real scores, unlike all the test prep books. Barrons is good for Vocab, while Kaplan was good for math. Focus more on a high Quant score since it's easier to get and most schools will be expecting very strong scores here.

Just to clarify, take as many COMPUTER practice tests, since that is how you take the GRE. Going through the book is fine, but doing it on the computer will be much more accurate. I also had problems in the practice exams that were verbatim from the GRE I took.....and I got it wrong both times. oops.

Thanks guys! In my own ignorance, I initially thought the GRE would be a piece of cake to prepare for in comparison with the MCAT, but now I realize they're just different beasts.

Any tips for getting through the vocab shortly/getting better on the analogy and antonym type questions (my enemy)?
