So, I am cramming for the GRE and taking it for the first time. My first application deadline is 12/1, for Harvard, but the other deadlines are mostly in Jan. If I don't do well, and retake the GRE, I can include the new score in my Jan applications, but what about for Harvard?

Would it be appropriate to send updated scores if I do better? Has anyone done this before?

Thank you in advance!

Remember that you must wait three weeks before retaking the GRE. Dates can fill up, so make sure to register quickly if you want to retake it. I have known people who have submitted updated GRE scores past the deadlines. Many schools will accept updated scores, but some will not if they already reviewed your application. If you do send updated scores, I highly recommend emailing admissions to let them know so that the new materials are not overlooked, as some schools close your application (or even print out hard copies) after your application is complete. Make sure to keep your schools updated!
