I am not in medschool yet, but I filled it out for fun.

It said I'd be a good pediatrician (44) or Radiologist (43). And General Surgery and Cardiology are not for me (30).

Anyway, it may help a confused person figure out what they like based on things other than the content of their work (bases it on your personality)

P.S. I'm gonna post this in Allopathic too cause it pertains to it also...

WTF? I scored a

1 on med oncology (44)
2 on cardiology (43)
3 on OBGYN (43)
4 on Neurosurgery (42)

😕

I wanted to be a pediatrician/gen practice! How about we switch personalities?

I don't know about that. The main emphasis of mine was how I don't really like being big boss, and I love knowing and learning about people.

I think radiology came up cause I put in there how I dn't really like long hours 🙂

And I would say personal preference overshadows this by far. This I think was meant for mild guidance.

1 physical med & rehabilitation 46
2 neurosurgery 45
3 emergency med 45
4 dermatology 44
5 rheumatology 44
6 ophthalmology 44
7 pediatrics 43

i want to be a pediatrician, most of the others never even entered my mind!

1 pathology 44
2 otolaryngology 44
3 nuclear med 44
4 ophthalmology 44
5 nephrology 44
6 endocrinology 44
7 infectious disease 44

family practice/peds ranked lowest for me.

This survey would have been more pleasant if they didn't ask the same questions 5 times over. The 130 questions could have easily been 50 without the repeats.

1 physical med & rehabilitation 49
2 pediatrics 48
3 occupational med 48
4 preventive med 47
5 obstetrics/gynecology 47
6 nephrology 47
7 hematology 47
8 dermatology 47
9 family practice 46
10 emergency med 46
11 med oncology 46
12 rheumatology 46
13 pulmonology 46
14 aerospace med 46
15 radiology 46
16 pathology 45
17 allergy & immunology 45
18 radiation oncology 45
19 infectious disease 44
20 endocrinology 44

Pretty good selection ...

1) Occupational Med
2) Dermatology
3) Anesthesiology
4) Thoracic Surgery
5) General Surgery
6) Orthopedic Surgery
7) EM

Last 2 - General Internal medicine, Pediatrics

Hmmmm.... not interested in the first 2...

Ouch, from that one GI is my #1... and every single type of surgery after that...
😱
My field of interest, ID... was 28 down on the list... interesting...

the problem with these tests is that i'm sort of randomly assigning an answer to each one - when it comes to real life, i'd be willing to compromise for something i'm passionate about.

They do it for accuracy of answers, you could see the same question 5 times and answer it 5 different ways, or all the same or 3 of one and 2 of the other. IT's part of the formula.
