I know there are a lot of posts and blogs about Letters of Recommendation but I have found myself in a position I can not find information on easily. I know that Committee letters are composite letters written by Pr-Professional Committees but my school does not offer such letters.
But I am a former Army Medic and I worked in a clinic for several years and along side a series of Army PA's and Doctors. So I contacted several of them and the response I got back was surprising. Not only did they all want to write me a letter some of them asked if they might be able to collaborate on a letter expressing their collective views.
My question is thus ...Can I do that? They are not a Pre-Professional Committee but they all know each other and are rather close personally and professionally with each other. We all worked in the same clinics and for the same units and they are all PA's or MD's of one variety or another. Would it be acceptable for them to write a Combined Letter? The MD's seem to think it might be allowed but are not sure if it is a good thing or not for current applications.
