I took my intro bio class over 2 years ago and did not know the professor then or now. I havent taken any other bio courses...I also submitted Tufts already. Maybe they wont notice since Im sending 4?...ha doubt it. I guess I could email the prof out of the blue and explain my situation and with a little bit of prayer to the right deities...

I don't think we have committee letters at my school. Is that through one department or how do those work? The pre-dental advisor will not write one

I'm sorry but what school is this? Does your school's pre-med advisor write one? What they do is compile a bunch of letters from your professors and write a cover letter and send the packet out.

Not all schools have a pre-health committee. I graduated from a big ten university, which did not have one. Though I think we are the only BT school without one.

Did you go to UW-Madison? I know they don't have one.

You may want to contact someone there and see what they have to say. My LORs weren't spot-on for my school regarding the professors necessary, but I was told by a head honcho that the LORs I had were just fine.

But...get that in writing if you can. I've got mine, just in case 😉

LTA, i am in the EXACT same position as you!!! my school doesnt have a committee nor does it have a pre-health advisor that will write a letter of rec. i called Tufts and they said they MUST have one bio and one chem.

Speaking of bow chicka wow wow, everytime I see the one in the dental office it cracks me up. The first time I saw it I nearly cried laughing.

Um. If you are interested in Tufts, call and ask them about that requirement. Do they specifically require a LOR from your BIO 101 professor or is it any biology related course?
