Hey,

Those of you who have gone to GWU for an interview, what do you guys think of the school and the interview itself? Chime in! 🙂

hands down, the easiest, most comfortable interview you will go on. just read a few submissions from the interview feedback site and you'll be set. i think all the interviews are pretty much the same. i didn't even get asked "why medicine?" the school is really into clinical teaching and they have some cool facilities and teaching practices. also, you get to meet a number of students (i'd say i got to talk to/hear from at least 15 of them) - more than at other schools. in any case, i think you'll definitely enjoy your visit. it seems like a really great school. you can't go wrong with dc too (aside from the living costs). good luck (although, trust me, you won't need luck for this interview).

I was under the impression that med schools generally accept twice the number of people that they expect to matriculate. Is this a reasonable estimate?

Yes, although at GW the ratio is much higher (I think they accept something like 400 students).

are you serious?! why so many? how can they do that! (don't get me wrong that's fantastic haha)

So who's waiting anxiously for that GW Decision Letter this month after Oct. 15th ?? If everyone does well in the interview given the stress-free nature of it, how do they decide who gets in?

Where did you get this info? I could have sworn the director of admissions said they accept twice as many.

I'm definitely waiting for it! Although during the interview they made it sound like we wouldn't be contacted so soon, but to answer the question, i am SOOO waiting for that letter!
