For some reason, I actually have the slightest bit of hope since orientation is Aug 16th..that gives us what...3 weeks to wait in agony??

hey guys,
sorry to be bearer of bad news, but just spoke with the dean and she said that its pretty much over for us all...she said she already had 2 students on "stand by" (i guess that means that if anyone drops an acceptance, these 2 lucky individuals will be contacted immediately)....oh well 🙄 .. good luck to all of you who are starting school or sending in apps for the upcoming cycle

What did she mean by stand by? Can you give us more details about the conversation? BTW, congrats on your VCU acceptance! You've been a very positive presence on this thread and I hope that you will have a great time at VCU!

thanks! uh, yeah i dont really know what she meant..i didnt push the issue but im guessing standby means people who were next to be accepted and are notified that if anyone doesnt show up to orientation, they will be contacted immediately. She was pretty confident that the class was set and no one else would be taken off the list (other than the 2 on "stand by")...ah well, at least Richmond is only 2 hrs away
