Can GYN oncologist do breast surgery? I heard someone say today that they could. I thought that was a general surgery thing!

Can GYN oncologist do breast surgery? I heard someone say today that they could. I thought thats a general surgery thing!

Some breast surgery fellowships will accept someone who completed an OB/gyn residency, and I'm sure that they'd take a gyn onc. However, there are very very very few breast surgery fellowships that allow this; most only want general surgeons.
