HACKENSACK
Shift schedule: 12h mostly, some 10s in Peds ED (Per month: 17 PGY1, 17 PGY2, 16 PGY3)
Vaca: 4wks all 3 years
Orientation month: Yes
Sites: Hackensack University Medical Center, Tox @ New York Poison Control (Manhattan), one community ED month at Pascack Valley?
"Level 2 trauma center": Only because missing 24-7 neuro-rads & research
Some pros: iPad mini, "official hospital of New York Giants"...get to work some home games/especially help with upcoming superbowl 2014, interns (only EM residents currently) love it here, program leadership young and energetic
Some cons: New program (but off to good start), building new ED but will only be completed post-2017
Random: Most residents live in Hoboken (cool city, close to NYC, tons of bars/restaurants), cover Tintinalli's x2 over three years, residents were mostly young and single
