Hardest course in PT School

Neuroanatomy was the tough one for me. But I've only completed a year.

Gross Anatomy seems like a tough class, but you get used to the dynamics of it. For me, taking Kinesiology at the same time helped me learn anatomy better because I got to apply it. And once you get further along in your studies, you get to put everything together which makes it easier to learn.

As for me, physiology was never my strong suit, but I survived it.

You know I'll be stalking you next year for your old notes 😛 I hate physiology, comparatively. And neuroanatomy is gonna kill me. I think I'll be okay with gross anatomy cuz I love it 😀 I'm also hoping that living with a second year will help me too, since I'll hopefully have access to her brain and books. haha.

Pathophysiology II - only because the final covered 1100 pages of text after pure PBL teaching. The class was good times.

Psychosocial Dimensions of Healthcare I, II, and III - Because I thought (and continue to think) it's BS.

Movement Science/Motor Control - because dozens of different theories & no real answers = frustration

Neuroanatomy for sure! Anatomy is busy but a lot of fun, whereas Neuroanatomy is even busier and boring as hell!!!!!

Heh, I'll definitely help out where I can! And living with a 2nd year is definitely a smart move! Hopefully we all retained enough information to be of some use. ;P

Ugh, I'm not looking forward to neuroanatomy next trimester then!

If anyone is curious, as a practicing outpatient ortho PT of over twelve years, the course that I wish I would have retained more information from is neuroanatomy. This area, along with neurophysiology, is becoming far more relevant in ortho practice.

H-I-S-T-O-L-O-G-Y by far...Was a weeding out class during our first summer semester, and each year at least 1 or 2 students would fail out.

I am currently an undergrad but my Health and Rehab Sciences major has a pre-PT emphasis. I've taken a Neuroanatomy class with cadaver dissection and have another one to take later on, it was really hard but interesting. I also have to take a Pathophysiology class and a Neurophysiology class next year, hopefully they arent too bad after reading some of the comments on here about those classes lol
