Harrassment...

Has anyone on this forum ever received harrassing IM's from Even St 21, who claims to frequent this site? The first IM conversation I had with the guy was polite and pertained to pharmacy school etc. Ever since then, he has been sending offensive IM's within a minute of me signing onto the internet. I'm just wondering if anyone else here has encountered any problems with other folks from this site.

Everyone that I have ever interacted with on this site has been nothing but kind and helpful and compassionate. I have never had to worry or question my security.

That is totally uncool. I'd let the mods know. Also make sure you block his punk a$$ on AIM. I'd also search AOL to see if there's any way you can report it...if he's an AOL member then certainly they should be able to but if he's just AIM then that may be more troublesome although they are supposed to have a current email address on file for users...

...Let us know how that works out, because crap knows you've got more to worry about than young'ns who have nothing better to do than e-harrass decent folks.

If this loser DOES frequent SDN: Son, you need to put the big boy pants on and leave the grade-school antics in the sandbox.

He started cursing me up and down when I told him I was going to report him to AOL. He said, "I'm gonna report you f**ker!" And then kept calling me a c**t. I asked him if he was off his medication. 😀

I keep saying that people need to attach electrodes prior to jumping on the internet. You get zapped if you use the anonymity of the internet to continually harass people. You're golden unless you run into someone that likes pain. 😀

Seriously I wouldn't even warn them, just block them and move on. It's what I did to all the flesh peddlers back when I used AIM.
 
This same person IM'ed me yesterday. Nothing offensive, just annoying. I'll let you know if he gets offensive and I can also find out who he is. A friend of mine is something of a hacker and can get me any information I need.

He was quiet for a few days, but then popped up again yesterday... Mr. Congeniality himself.

Let me know if he bothers you and if you do anything about it. Both myself and my boyfriend have spent a fair amount of time trying to figure out what to do.

Is there no way to know who he is on this board?
