harvard acceptances?

I don't think it was that explosive (in terms of numbers of people) in previous years... 🙁

Also, there's now a class thread? Could that be drawing away posts?

Numerous acceptances followed 5 straight up rejections and some waitlists. same here!!! it started off so well and now its been all bad news. i did get into one of my favorite schools but a lot said no (including all top tiers) 🙁
 
Hey all,

I wasn't in that first round of acceptance emails... the 11:45-12:00 pm round, I mean. But I just got an acceptance email. So keep up hope!

oh dear lord my nervous system cannot handle all these ups and downs. here i was thinking i was totally mentally prepared for rejection... not the case, it turns out.

not helping! lol i want to go get on a different network... maybe this one allows me on the internet but not onto gmail lol i am going crazy. they should send out rejection e-mails just so we know!

what program did you apply to? what is the exact time of your email? are you ivy non ivy school? when did you interview and last name letter? can you tell us just so we can get a sense of how it is sent out.

Has anybody been accepted straight HST yet? I can't seem to decipher the pattern of these acceptances thus far...
 
Still nothing... Maybe they're mailing these out by subcommittee? Trying to keep hopeful... but really, I'm just not feeling the hope.

I guess it really is that hard to get into.. ugh. This just ruined the rest of my semester 🙁

I know what you mean. I haven't really followed this thread, but the drama today is just too hard to resist. Since my email seemed to come later than everyone else's, maybe that means I barely made the cutoff, haha. Still can't believe it.
 
Hey folks, just got an acceptance for HST only...no place for me in NP. Keep your heads up folks...looks like emails are still going out. omfg...miracles do happen! 🙂
 
I still havn't turned in the course requirement checklist...maybe I should have back then....

Hey medSchool,

I'm thinking that attempts to discern a pattern here aren't going to get us very far. Anyway, I'm an odd duck non-trad; interviewed in November. Applied NP-only. Non-ivy undergrad; ivy grad. (Could emails possibly be linked to "ivy" status of college? Seems unlikely to me). Personally, I think my "we barely wanted her" theory is as good as any. 🙂

That is TOTALLY NOT TRUE. You deserve your acceptance and obviously did an amazing job. Congratulations!!!

what time was it sent, tarheel? thanks for the help... i asked about school just to see if they did it according to subcommittee and there is an ivy subcommittee that is why.

Oh, I didn't realize that. Then I guess it's as sensible a basis for speculating as any. My email was dated 12:07.

Now, without further ado, let the psychological campaign commence:

Got the 11:45 email and didn't think it was real until checking SDN. Man would that be a mean joke to play on someone! Super excited 😍

Hope it works out for everyone still waiting!

Yeeeeep. SIGH. Oh, I did manage to call and ask. Yeah, acceptances are all going out today. Maybe in batches.
 
Judging from what we were told at the HST/NP interviews and the combinations of offers given out, it's pretty clear that they gave out all HST and NP offers in the same email. As in, if you applied HST plus NP, you get an email if you get into either one or both. Man I'm so bummed out.

admissions confirmed that all emails were sent out. so this is final rejection.. no point to talk about it any more

Moving on is good. The anxiety has been killing me. Although we have the waitlist to wonder about. But how much does Harvard's waistlist move if we even get on it?

I'm going to Chicago!! 😀
