Good luck to everyone!

You did indeed 😎 Graduating in May and I can't wait to get out of this damn desert.

I'm a wildcat too! Graduated in May 2005.

too bad the basketball team wasn't any good in the NCAA tournament this year.

Anybody from Canada receive a rejection (or acceptance) yet? I'm assuming that international mail takes at least 1-2 days longer, so I guess I shouldn't get my hopes up.

Wow, I am actually surprised there were 3 of us on SDN (make mdapps people!). Hopefully at least one of us makes it. :luck:

So, where are the wildcats headed to so far?

How about this one:

1. Not only have I personally met and shaken hands with the former Indian Ambassador to the United States (and South Africa), but he is my professor.

2. The former German Minister of Foreign Affairs teaches at my school, but I have never had him as a professor.

3. The older brother of the President of Afghanistan is my Biochemistry professor.

Rejection (no surprise) - mailed to PA

sooo... during my student interview, my phone went off twice!! Before the interview, I was waiting for a call from a student I was supposed to meet with. From there I met my interviewer and totally forgot to turn my ringer off. I tried to play it off as best as I could and calmly reached into my purse and silenced the phone. I hope it didn't blow my chances!! I got the "contact the financial aid office" message... but we'll see. makes me even more nervous!!

Accepted: Baylor
Waitlist: Stanford, Cornell
Waiting for Post-Interview Decision: Harvard, Yale

I probably won't know for sure where i'm going until like July, lol

So is the mystery solved?
Bad message = rejection, right?

Rejection (no surprise) - mailed to PA, got the "login failed" message

got into Arizona, Stanford and Univ. of Michigan. and hopefully HMS!

still waiting to hear from Univ. of Washington.

Rejection in NJ, "login failed" message. one of my interviews didn't go so well, so not a surprise. still stings a little though 🙁

Hozho- you got the good message, so our chances rest with you. :luck:

You both got into some really great schools. I am probably headed to OHSU, but I'm hoping to get pulled off the waitlist at Brown or Mayo.

I hope so! Good luck to you too! 🙂 If you go to Mayo, would you do your clinical years in Scottsdale?

Thin letter rejection today in Texas, didn't check fin aid page so I can't contribute to that theory (sorry, but it seems to be holding).

those letters made it to texas, holy shmoly!

It appears that this theory is correct. I will go check my mail here shortly. I live in VA, so if the thin envelope was heading my way, it would likely be there today. I received the good message after my login attempt - I hope I'm not about to disprove the theory!!!

Nothing in the mail from HMS - no news is good news at this point, right?

Perhaps. One of the HMS students said that the thin envelopes went out first and that they were putting up bigger packages together. Maybe the acceptance will be a thick package and hence will mean an acceptance if you haven't gotten the thin slip yet. 😛:luck: :luck: :luck: :luck:

I sure hope ur right, bubblehead. I was at the beach on spring break when the finaid page was still up so I wasn't able to check it in time, so I guess I'm truly ignorant of my HMS status at this point.

But good news, no letter today to my mailing address in Memphis, TN. But nobody has gotten accepted either, even those in the Boston area? I assume that I'm not safe from rejection quite yet...😱

I think so. Congrats Bubblehead-to-HMS MD! I did not get anything today in OK. I am hoping I don't get anything from them tomorrow either.

To everyone who is getting these thin letters...I am sure I will join you tomorrow. These thin letters in Texas and So. Cal things seem like anomalies, but who knows.

Do the current HMS students know if said thick packages were put in the mail today? 🙂

I don't know. I think it was Mateodeospy or whatever his name is that mentiioned it a few pages back. You'd have to look for a post by him a few pages back. Here I'll see if I can find his post. You could probably PM him.

It would be nice, but no. I have a family to move/ house to buy, so I don't want to move more than necessary. I still haven't sold my husband on MN, even though it would save us about $134,000.

I hate my mailman. Not only did he stop delivering my mail because I parked 4 feet from the mailbox, he also comes at totally different times of the day. I think he’s ****ing with me. 👎

No, but I am sure they were. The emails we got said the process of sending out the letters would be complete on March 19th. I bet they went out as priority and will arrive in your box by Wednesday (the day the financial aid website will be back up and working).

I tried to login on a Mac last Wednesday night and got the login failed message. Oh well, tomorrow will be the huge indicator day for me (nothing= some hope). Here's to getting through all this together, through "thick and thin."😀

Harvard Rejection in Wisconsin. Got the "login failed" message last week. Well it was fun being a Harvard Applicant this past semester 😛

Just browsing through the HMS thread (didn't apply, let's be realistic). I'm 99.9% sure that you went to Stony Brook so I'm going to say #2. When I used to do research there, Karzai's lab was one floor up 😉

Thanks gugu and moj!

I'm still being a bit skeptical of the financial aid page theory until I have an envelope in hand!

word in Longwood is acceptance packages MAILED today (Monday). And yes, all decisions contained within the first paragraph of the cover letter in a single package for both HST and NP.
Good luck (esp. those applying to HST!)
-HMS/HST yr III

The mail finally came. Nothing. Guess Tucson is just slow.

Rejection made its way to KY. Sucks, but that's why they call it rejection. Congrats to all those soon to be accepted!

Thanks for sharing! 👍

To the USPS: Can we please upgrade any priority mail addressed to Bubblehead-to-MD to express mail? I will gladly pay the difference!

Yous username is my favorite french word, maybe favorite word of all time.

So thinking it would be a good idea, I listed my parents' address as my preferred address for AMCAS and thus the address that Harvard is supposed to send info to.

Since I'm home for spring break, I've been the one checking my mail this week. Hence, when I opened my mail box today, I thought I was in for some bad news. I found not one but three thin envelopes from HMS today. Fortunately for me, they were all CME stuff for my parents who are both physicians. So here's to another day of not knowing but hoping in San Antonio, TX.

Nothing in the mail today. (in northern New England) I checked the login one time, early Wednesday I think, and it said failed.
