Does anyone have any insights in comparing the two post-bac programs?
I completed my pre-med reqs and actually did a month of med school before dropping out 7 years ago.
I'm looking for a program which will bring my academic record up to date while I study for the April MCAT.

Which program has more support?
And is Boston or Philly a better place to live, study, volunteer, and (of course)play?
Any comments would be appreciated!

just out of curiousity: what made you drop out, and what makes you want to go back to medical school?

Edit: Boston is a wonderful city, but the cost of living is apparently extremely high. I would recommend philly.

UPenn will be much more selective than Harvard's program. As far as advising and support, I don't know much about Harvard but you will surely get a lot of good help from the UPenn program. They've been doing it for a long time and they have a solid structure. Additionally, UPenn has a linkage with RWJ; a very limited number of studetns (3-5) from the post-bacc program get nominated for "accelerated acceptance" into RWJ med school.

thanks for the insight...
i took a detour from medical school to study at juilliard for four years. after graduating, i worked in the industry for a couple years with my eye on returning to medicine. now i'm putting my plan into action.
looking forward to getting back into the thick of things.
