Does everyone get a secondary?

Can you tell me if there's a general email link, or you have to wait until they give you a password. The reason is, I'm overseas, and stuff gets lost/delayed in the mail.

Everyone gets one - Harvard doesn't screen.

so what happens if you don't turn in a rec letter from every lab supervisor???

On the package that was sent from Harvard, it says that "letters of recommendation must be mailed to the admissions office directly from the author and must be written on the author's office letterhead."

Does this mean that I can't use the filing service from my school to send my letters?

Normally I'd say that they will just deal w/ whatever you send, as long as it is supposedly confidential... But this is Harvard this time. Since I use Interfolio, I'm interested in this answer as well. I guess someone should contact them and make sure it's ok. As I don't even have a secondary yet, I nominate someone else.

I went to Harvard for undergrad, so my pre-med committee there is submitting my letters for me. Since they've already mailed HMS my packet (i.e., they were not sent directly from the authors), and have done this for years, I personally assumed that it would be fine.

But if you're really worried about it, I would just call the office and ask.
