It was rumored the faculty was in flux....people coming/leaving/not sure if they are staying, that was as of last year.

It's not new. Just a new spin on their experimental PhD.
They tried at accrediation a few years ago a didn't get it. If you want GOOD CLINICAL training go elsewhere.

Last I knew their "clinical" program was basically experimental psychopathology under a different name. Don't think they care to take on any students who want to be clinicians anyways.
No. Because they would have just maintained their Experimental Psychopathology degree.
When the program began, in 2000, the faculty were very clear that they were going to attempt accreditation at the earliest possible time - which would have been in 2005.
I know some people who have been in the program, and it has been a very rocky transition. There is no in-house clinic, and practicum sites have been scarce. There are also very few "clinical" faculty - among them, at least one is not even a clinical psychologist (though his experimental research relates to a particular clinical population).
There are some fantastic researchers there - but if you want a clinical psychology degree, there are plenty of other schools that have just as fabulous research opportunities with adequate clinical training.
