has anyone done well on the mcat after a long break from science/pre-med courses?

Just curious to see if it was possible to do well on the MCAT with only the information you gained from review books and nothing else. I would assume that anyone who took their pre-req's long enough in the past for them to forget everything by the time the MCAT rolled around would fit this description.
