Has anyone gotten a D in one class and gotten into pharmacy school?

This is a good question, of course the class has to be taken over. I think if you do well the second someone has probably gotten in a school somewhere.

My friend got a D in O-chem and she got accepted into pharmacy schools (This was several years ago). She already graduated two years ago and got her PharmD. So if you got a D, just make sure to retake and do well the second time. That was what she did. Hope this help.

I got a D in Speech, several years ago, did I mention you should never take a public speaking class online, lol. I retook the class last year, got an A, and this year I was accepted to 3 pharmacy schools.

Just make sure to take it over, that's all they want to see, and make sure you go up at least two grades. You'll be fine, don't worry.

I got a D in GenChem II my freshman year because I didn't ever go. I retook it, got an A, and was accepted to pharm school this yr.

I have never gotten a D in my college years but i sure do have crap load of Cs 😡

I got a D in College Math. Retook it and got an A.
Then took Calculus I II and III, and got all A's.
We'll see if I get in this year, is my first time applying.

It completely depends on the school. Some use the average of the 2 while others simply take the highest/most recent grade. Email the school and see what their policy is.

In all seriousness, as I've said before, schools notice the trend in grades rather than individual marks.

If you re-take the class and do well, that's the important thing.

What about Ws... does the same thing apply if you got a W and then took the class again for a grade? I guess they can't take a previous grade into account, but do a few Ws look bad? Most of mine were for engineering courses.

No Ds but I did have 2 Fs and 23 Ws. At UF they take both grades into account.
