Has anyone heard from the University of Washington and received an acceptance or denial letter yet? Bananaface, do you know if they have sent out letters yet or when they plan to do so?

Hey Teg--

Two people I know received their acceptance letters last week... so expect to hear back from them in the next couple of weeks! Good luck! :luck:

I got my acceptance letter in the middle of March, so I'm assuming that they're sending out letters now.

Ty Willingham got accepted in January after he got kicked out of Notre Dame :meanie:

LMAO :meanie: :meanie:

Notre Dame one day decided that they were going to compete with Ivy League...Academically. A noble idea 👍

But ND mandated the very tough same academic standards on every athelete..not so good idea if you want to be competitive..

Lou Holtz knew when to leave. Bob Davie.. a good defensive coach ..but couldn't get the program going.. how could he if he can't recruit stud atheletes who don't qualify academically.

Ty Willingham is an awesome coach. But there is no way ND will be the same.. unless the academic standards are modified for the football players.

UW will have a winning program..soon. 👍

Threadjacking at its' best :meanie:

It's getting to be that time of the month! Bump. 😀

I interviewed the third week of February

If you don't mind me asking...for those that got accepted, what were your stats like, GPA, PCAT, Experience, etc. ALso, what percentage of out-of-state people do they accept? UW is one of my top choices, so just wanting to know what to shoot for. Thanks.

well they called me and extended me an interview back in march if that helps any. i declinded their offer though b/c I got accepted to my first choice school. I hear its extremely competitive to get an interview there...is that true?

I recieved my acceptance letter last Monday *still twirling and dancing with joy*. From what I understand, the adm comm is supposed to meet on the 25th and deliberate then. For those who were accepted prior to that date, they were on an early-offers list.

...that's the 25th of April btw

I got my acceptance letter on 4/16. I was sooooooooo happy. Now I'm completely broke from holding up my promises of treating people out to dinner when I get accepted. 🙂

Who wants to get together so we can get to know our future classmates? 😀

I am #9 on the alternates list. Does anyone know how long it should take to get that far down on the list?

It varies greatly from year to year. Some years they don't touch the list. Last year I heard that they went to #18. But last year had special circumstances. We added spots to the class after the state legislature approved additional funding the week prior to the beginning of school. So alot of alternates had already made other plans. One of my friends was #10 two years ago and they never got to him. The thing is that before they send the alternate list out, they try and get decisions from their main list candidates. Folks off the main list will probably get a phone call asking them to call the SOP in the next 48 hours if possible. I think the letter I got said I needed to respond within 1 week. Since the committee met on the 25th, there are probably only a few slots that are really still up in the air. There is still hope to get in, right up until class starts. But being #9 on the alternate list is not a guarantee of admission to the program. You just have to wait patiently and see what happens.

Bummer... a friend of mine is #26 on that same list. So you should be in good shape, I guess. Better to be optimistic than pessimistic. 🙂

The list only used to go down to #20. They will probably go further down the list because of PharmCAS and people applying to schools they don't really want to go to. It's just a wait and see. Don't count yourself in or out. If someone on the list got an offer from another school that they would be happy at, I would not advise them to pass it up. A sure thing is better than a maybe.
