Has anyone made a plan to have ZERO rejections by REJECTING THEM FIRST. LOL

I was thinking, I might be able to get away with Zero rejections by taking my one acceptance and telling the others they are rejected per se. LOL, I mean should I stay on the couple waitlist's I'm on or does it actually help others out if I don't really plan on going to their schools anyway?

Your post makes no sense. If you know for a fact that you don't want to attend those schools where you're on the waitlist, then why would you stay on their waitlists? And if you would attend them if you got off the waitlist, then why would you withdraw just so that you could have no rejections? Who cares if you have a rejection or twelve, as long as you have at least one acceptance? I don't follow your logic at all.

Ok, you have a point. I am not saying you don't. But I want to see who all will let me in. Who know's some schools might give me a financial aid package so great I can't refuse. Other things could come into consideration as well.

The last comment about not having any rejections is an ego thing. LOL just fooling.

You probably have a better chance of getting more $$ from the school that let you in off the bat, rather than the one that let you in off the waitlist. Anyway, if you think there is a chance that you'd go to one of the waitlist schools, then stay on the waitlists and see how it works out. Don't withdraw from a school you might want to attend just to avoid a rejection! Good luck, hope you get off those waitlists. 🙂

Scary that one day you may be awarded a medical degree. And to think of all the other applicants who actually take admissions seriously...

Dude it's a joke. Get a life. But in all seriousness there is no reason why not to ask the question I have some good points/questions?

I have 0 rejections. Early Decision represent!

I send a rejection letter to the school rejecting their rejection letter.

Dear adcom,

I'm sorry at this time I am not able to accept your rejection.

My two cents...if you know you wouldn't attend the waitlist school over where you are already holding an acceptance, why stay on the waitlist? Just to see if they take you, and then decline it the same day? That seems kind of odd to me. If you are accepted at school A, and waitlisted at B with no real intention on going, why just stay on it to see if they decide to admit you in May or June? That's just creating extra work and scrambling, for no real gain.

I can understand waiting to see if you get an interview invite from somewhere (I have a few that I probably wouldn't go to at this point, but I've been complete there for over 5 months and haven't even gotten a hold yet), and then maybe declining it. But waiting to see if you get an acceptance is just doing a disservice to someone who might be waiting on pins and needles on that waitlist. Once again, if you don't agree that's fine, but that's how I see it.

"LOL" - Does anyone actually laugh out loud at any of this?

I can agree with this logic. I guess the only thing I could do is set it to about two perhaps three schools and see at least what type of money they will give me.

***Concubine, probably as much LOL goes around looking at your, what is that, piece of poop avatar (no pun intended) and thinking that is funny too.:laugh::laugh:

piece of poop avatar (no pun intended)

what's the pun? 😕

I also think your post makes no sense and am really scared that you are going to be someone's physician one day.

is that avatar supposed to be a "stupid newbie" or what? Trying to figure it out.

It looks like a piece of poop. Or perhaps french toast even. Hmmmm, trying to figure it out still.

Is my post really that complicated? Because if my post is complicated perhaps it is best that you are not going to be anyone's physician one day.

Cheers 👍

I happen to think your post is funny and have considered doing the same thing. 😛 Cheers to future doctors with a sense of humor!

actually i will be. your attempts at humor are pretty bad though, you should probably just stop trying to make fun of the other SDN posters, because it's reall not working out very well for you.

. That was my plant too, actually. Withdrew from WashU, and they replied in the email that they processed my withdrawal. However, a few weeks later got the rejection letter in the mail anyway 👎

Haha . I should REJECT their rejection letter.

Here is what I am sending schools.

Due to the large number of schools that I have applied to and the overall competitiveness of the other programs, I regret to inform you that I have decided to place your institution on my alternate list. Please free to update your file with pertinant information at any time.

Cordially,
CK

See lol, it is funny. Just relieving some of the stress is all. My first sentence was silliness and my second was the silly but serious. 😀

Hillarious, are you really going to send that out? 😆

WOW, they REJECTED YOUR REJECTION LETTER TO THEM. Whoaaaa. How do you top that?

I need to find the proper stationary first. I also need to find one of those signature stamps. Would't want to actually sign it and let anyone think they received more consideration than a passing thought.

Accept those rejection letters proudly. Frame them and place them along side your medical school diploma that you will place on your office wall. When you write out that $150,000 alumni donation check to your medical school, send those schools that rejected you, a copy of the thank you for your donation letter from the medical school that you graduated from so that they will understand the implications of not accepting you in the first place. Be sure to write on the bottom of the thank-you letter "Big mistake, this donation could have been yours". 😀

Dear Dean of Admissions, Medical School XYZ,

Unfortunately due to your sub-standard curriculum, apathetic student attitude and cold weather, there is no way I can attend your medical school. If perhaps you sweetened the deal a little with more scholarships or living expense stipends, I would reconsider. However at this point with my multiple other acceptances, you are sitting fairly low on my list. Sorry!

Actually I had a physican suggest this plan to me the other day, where if I got an earlier acceptance, I should wear gym shorts and a t-shirt to all my remaining interview's. I asked if he was serious and he said "Yes."

I send a rejection letter to the school rejecting their rejection letter.

That's what I am talking about. It is something that just makes you feel good inside.

Come to think of it. If I get an interview at some of the schools I turned in my interviews very late for I want to go to one and I will wear a suit. But, man do I want to go in there and just have it out. Let them ask about one negative aspect of my application or personal history. I want to just give the most witted smart answer back at them. Well, I dunno Dr. XYZ what do you think should be done with health-care? Wait, you're a PhD. you don't have any real clue what should be done with health care do ya? Or, "I see you don't have as much volunteer time as other applicants," "hey Doc my time is valuable, I mean this is America, who works for free.? Or, "what type of leadership roles have you had experience with?" "Doc, I get A's I wish others could too but they don't so I am hear and they are not, what more leadership experience could you ask for.? "Why do you want to be a doctor?" "Doc, I want to be a doctor because M.D. looks great in-front of my name. I mean the pay isn't what it used to be but my Lexus and BMW payments should be met on a monthly basis, I'm cool wit dat, you feel me?" "why this school versus, um lets say where you're from." "Well let me put it like this, I am trying to become a doctor and you gave me an interview invite, so now ya see me; the better question is, is your school highly enough ranked for me wanted to attend your school and the answer is perhaps, got any scholarship cash for me?" "where do you see yourself in ten years?" "loaded with about 5 kids and 3 ex wives and about 2 mistresses on the side." 😆 There must be a million more "true" answers to some of these fake and rhetorical questions.

In fact you know what just PEAVES me the most is all the darned secondaries. I WANT TO GO INTO THE INTERVIEW and say when they say do you have any more questions. "YES, what is up with yo secondary? What didn't I say in my primary application that you couldn't understand from my secondary application? Huh, what, what? Did you even read what I wrote? Oh you did. ok tell me what I mean by I like to travel on pretty beaches at night to see sun rays dancing off the ocean blue water as the moon reflects from glistening pine trees submerged in the sand. <<<what did I mean by that? 😆

What are some of yours?
