If anyone has read this article I have a quick question about their methods. They state that "available time of exposure" (pg2) is the date of death of the case going back to 1989. My questions is this range of time the exposure to medications because if it is then the earliest death would be in 1997 seeing as they only enrolled patients that died between 1997 and 2000. This would then be a longer survial time than the 2.9 years with distant disease and 6.2 years for non-distant (pg 3). I just can't make sense of what the exposure time is...someone please help!
