just curious.....i was invited for an interview to UPenn. i was abviously excited. here's the catch....i got my invite on arnd 10 oct. now since im a kenyan studying in canada, i need a visa to get into the US. so i interviewed at the US consulate in toronto on oct 15th and was recommended for a visa by the visa officer. she jus sed that i needed to go thru an interagency chek i.e the dept of homeland security needed to jus chek my record n my background. she insisted it was a formality and that i would make it on time for my nov 16 interview. i havnt heard bak from the consulate since. i tried calling n they cant giv visa info over the fone for security reasons. ther's no email, no nothing. i jus hav to bite my nails n pull on my hair. do u think Penn will get pissed if i cancel last minute? my interview is this friday. shud i wait till thursday to call or shud i call em earlier. this is a major bummer. n also, will they reschedule?

Not for white people who are US citizens and don't have foreign accents...but you may be able to squeak through...prob have to say you are a canadian citizen though

Very bad advice. Do not lie about your citizenship to the border agents, it could pose problems if youre caught. ie denied student visa if you are accepted into dental school.
