I've only interviewed at Scholl so far but the other 3 will be done within a week. What're some pros and cons/advantages and disadvantages of each school? I honestly don't know where I would go if accepted to all of them (besides maybe NYCPM). I am still waiting for a decision from DMU but got rejected from Western, Midwestern, Samuel Merritt, and Kent. I just want to make an informed decision before dedicating 4 years at a school.

If you use search function, I remember that similar threads have been created within last year and it was discussed.

Oh alright. Sorry, I'm pretty new to the site and have only seen SDN on google searches. I'm particularly looking for 1st and 2nd year students about their experiences because I know most of the academic rigor is done in those years.

Without getting into the specifics, it doesn't really matter which program you end up at, well maybe besides BarryU (for whatever reason), because you will be a DPM and will get a chance to move on. You can also search for past threads for this topic, as most have answered it in the past.

However,

If you have multiple acceptances and if you are not sure which program to attend then its all comes down to the following factors and more:

--the state you want to be in after residency, not just the 4 years of Pod school, but the state where you might want to settle down in the future
--the cost difference between one program to another, if you can save money then do it, the lower overall debt the better
--if you are a family person then choose a program that is closer to your home-town, where even if you live on campus, can commute back and forth to destress
--if you can survive the weather conditions while in pod school, as in, some people do not like the brutal cold of Chicago so if you have an option of being in Cali or FL then do that
--Finally, I hope you got the feel for where you want to be from the interview days and meeting with students..so use those positive instincts and settle for one

You were only interviewed. Wait until you have acceptances. Maybe you will be accepted at only one school and the decision will be easy.

As a current student at NYCPM, i advise you visit the program before falling in love with the name. Make sure to walk around jn that neighborhood so you can see what you will be surrounded by for the next 4 years. And when you make the tour inside the facilities please take not of its cleanliness. I say all this to warn you. What the paid faculty say is vastly different than reality.

I interviewed at Temple. They were in the process of some remodeling / revamping when I was visiting (2016), but the school itself had its pros and cons. People were friendly and the 3rd years we met during our interview day were nice. Clinic seemed really busy and the students there seemed happy with the school. Facilities are a little run down and I wasn't terribly in love with their hospital location, which is in a really sketchy area.

Very true. Of the 4, I got denied from Scholl and Barry but got into Temple and am waiting on NYCPM now.

How's that? What year are you?
