i am "on hold" post-interview at my number one school. I asked my PI (principle investigator) to write a letter of rec for me to inform the school that I am working on a paper which will be published soon. For some reason, my PI insisted that I give her the school dean's contact info. is it ok for my PI to contact the dean directly regarding my application?
