Hello folks,

I have room for an extra class this fall (I only have 12 credits so far). I was looking over random courses I was interested in, and none are open. So I figured I would take a class that ADCOMS might appreciate like Intro. Public Health, Systems Physiology, or even Spanish I (I took French in HS).

However, since I'm applying this cycle (hoping to be a Class of 2014 med-student), it really won't matter much since I won't have a grade till December. However, I may be able to talk about things I learn in interviews, etc...

Any thoughts?

8 of my 12 credits are science courses with labs (plus I am doing research), so I would prefer not to take a course with lab...

No, at this point classes wont really matter unless it is something completely out of the ordinary such as 'The psychology of Adcom members of MD schools' or 'Disproving the theory of relativity using pure arithmetic' etc. Take a class in an area you have not been exposed to.

adcoms probably appreciate a higher GPA more than some amazing thought provoking EC so take leisure studies/basket weaving if available
