Hi!

I know this is so annoying and long but I would appreciate any advice anyone has!!

I plan on taking the PCAT this upcoming summer, July 8-9. If you have taken it already or know a lot about what is on it please help me decide what courses to register for to ensure success on the exam.

Classes I have completed so far that I know are on the pcat:
Gen Chem 1 & 2
Calculus I
Organic I

I am currently registering for next semester. (Spring 2016)
Organic II is already a definite course I'm signed up for.
Other than Organic II, I need to obviously have at least 12-14 hours.

I cannot decide between taking:
Anatomy and Physiology I
Statistics
Microbiology
Biochemistry
I do need to retake Gen Chem I as it was my first semester of college and did not do as well as hoped. Do I need to repeat it before the summer? Also I will take classes this summer, so are there any of those I begin a summer term and know enough in them to do well on the pcat? (only a few questions about that subject?)

Thank you soo much in advance!

General Chemistry 50%

Organic Chemistry 30%

Basic Biochemistry Processes 20%

Quantitative Ability (45 Minutes) 48 Items

Basic Math 15%

Algebra 20%

Probability & Statistics 20%

Precalculus 22%

Calculus 22%

Verbal Ability (25 Minutes) 40 Items

Analogies 62%

Sentence Completion 38%

Reading Comprehension (50 Minutes) 6 Passages & 48 Items Comprehension 30%

Evaluation 30%

Definitely take A and P. There is more of A & P 1 on the PCAT than any other bio. There is no Organic 2 at all on PCAT so if you can, move that to the summer. If it's an option, I would take A&P 1 and Micro in the spring. You can self learn biochem for PCAT, it's not that bad.

I'd go with A&P and biochemistry. Granted I took the PCAT 3 years ago, I remember a lot more biochem and A&P than micro.

I would go with A&P I and Microbio. Biochem processes on pharmcas are pretty basic.

A&P and Microbiology, lots of questions in the Bio section that I experienced back in July when I took the PCAT.

I agree with what has been said already. Microbio and AP1 would help you out the most by far. I just took it Tuesday.
