If you look at the MSAR, very few matriculants are asian. They are likely to have shown a validated commitment to an under-served community.
About half are women...
Asians still make up a decent chunk of the HBCU pool. It is mostly just because there are so many Asian applicants and so few black applicants, though. They are not preferentially selected for as Asians, while ethnically minority, are not an under represented group in medical school applications.
