When doing head and neck IMRT, if matching an upper neck IMRT field to a lower neck supraclav field, do you have to feather every so often?

I may not be understanding the indication for what you are doing but why not use IMRT for the neck and supraclav?

When you have a moment, take a look at these:

PMID: 15978743

PMID: 22975604

Dose to larynx too high.

Based on an older uf paper. Mdacc actually released a newer paper saying whole imrt is fine as long as you contour and account for the larynx in your plan

I know myself and many others prefer imrt for the entire plan. I think I remember hearing amdur saying that was fine as long as you account for and put constraints on the larynx
