Hi,

Does anyone know where I can get an internships to work in DC on health policy topics.
I'm PREMED. not medstudent... that's why I'm at this board. Anyway, i looked at AMSA, and all but one are only for med students. I'll be doing it the summer after i graduate.

Any suggestions besides AMSA and IACFPA (indian american center for political awarenes).

Thanks,
Sonya

You can get some great health and science internships through The Washington Center. They hook you up with everything including housing and academic credit. Kinda costly, but if you can get funding it would be probably the best internship experience you can get in DC. Go to www.twc.edu...

Thanks for the info!

They look like a good program, but yeah, expenive and one needs to apply early.

You could always try getting an internship through NIH in Bethesda...unless you don't want to commute. Good luck!

NIH seems mostly like it gives technical internships. I wanted more related to Health care policy/politics/law. Preferably working with a house or rep/senator/congress.
