Hi guys,
I am probably posting in a wrong forum, but could not find where to ask...
So what is your opinion on preventive health care, what kind of testing do you recommend to patients besides yearly physicals?

Lets say 50-60 -70 etc.. year old.

1) colon cancer screening
2) for women breast cancer screening (mammogram, ), OBGYN papsmear
for men prostate screening
3) do you recommend periodically Xray? Tb test? Or only if symptomatic?

anything else am I missing?

Thank you

Only thing I would add is CT Lung screening, but my dad had lung cancer so it's kinda personal to me.

been having the hardest time getting insurances to pay for this tho... dozens have told me "not medically needed" even tho I quote verbatim what guidelines say

That's weird, LDCT for smokers (granted must meet criteria) is standard of care. Wonder why they're having an issue..

You'll find what you're looking for at USPSTF. There are some differing "guidelines" based on medical society. For example, with prostate ca screening.
