I'm a pre-med early on in my education (about 3 years until I start applying) and recently I've been offered (and accepted) a job as a Health Unit Coordinator at the local hospital in the Med/Surg Unit.
I'm wondering if anyone else out there in the SDN has been a HUC before, and if so, have you taken away anything from that experience you'd wish to discuss with someone just starting out in the field? I'm hoping this will be a way for me to gain experience with "the system", hopefully get to talk to a patient every once in awhile, and learn other helpful things...
Anyone out there got any advice?
Thanks!
