Has anyone of yall attended the predental summer enrichment program for UT houston? If so, how was it? What advice do you have for someone who got accepted? What should be my goal while I am there? Is it true that it makes you look much better during admissions?

There is a part on AADSAS or the DAT application where they ask if you have participated in such a program. I don't see how it could hurt to attend something like this, unless you do something entirely inappropriate socially or academically.

I noticed you use the contraction "yall"

This got me thinking, are we supposed to say "You aren't" or "You're not?"

WHICH CONTRACTION IS RIGHT?!?! YORN'T?!?

I plan on attending the summer program at a school next year.

I am from Texas so I would know. Ya'll can say "ya'll aren't" or "ya'll aint". Some may even say Ya'll aren't gonna. W'all is not an acceptable term, as we just say we in reply, though many may reply with nosotros. As fer me, I aint got no time for horse sH*$in' around 'cuz I'm fixin' ta be studyin' at the dang ol lieberry. Don't worry you'll pick up the language and love it if you get into Texas.

In regards to summer program, do it if you can! Seems like everyone at Baylor (Dallas, TX) that did it got in. I plan on doing it next year, even if I have to quit my full time job. I am sure the Houston one is similar.

let's go fishing Ya'll

Ummmmmmmmmmm what happened to answering the question????lol I wanted to know also...what should I expect? I am attending BCD summer enrichment!

My best friend did BCD summer enrichment and I will go to his graduation at Baylor this month! My girlfriend did the summer enrichment and she is currently at Baylor. Seems like everyone that does it gets in, there were only a few from their programs that did not. Seems like they got a free Kaplan DAT prep course, got to do some lab work and go to the clinic. It was hard work, but dont stress out over it. Basically hang on, do a decent job, make contacts (makes all the difference), and you will most likely get into Baylor or somewhere else within a year or two! You will love Dallas, once you get used to it. This probably doesnt answer your question still, but I hope it helps a little.
