hello MS-O's who are moving very very far away from hometown/current location.

have u guys and gals gone through your purging sessions where you throw away, donate, recycle old stuff/memories like clothes you dont wear or undergraduate notes so that you can be practical and save space and be flexible? its quite cathartic.

my main goal is to be mobile and not have burdensome materials when i move.

i just threw away more undergraduate notes.

how r u?

Well...my room is looking really bad. To be honest I have absolutely nothing ready and there are mounds of clothes everywhere...

I guess I'll deal with it another day (at least I keep telling myself that)...

I'm not taking much with me. I'll be shipping some clothes, electronics, and books. As far as other stuff, I'll pretty much be buying new.

I have 3 computer monitors that I can't seem to part with. It's going to be hard to say goodbye....jk, no but seriously, saying goodbye is hard to do.

Even though I don't have to move, I'm thinking about purging my apartment and starting with a fresh slate next year - not in terms of furniture or electronics, just getting rid of stuff that I've packratted like old notes and other nonessential things I've accumulated.

I got rid of a ton of stuff before I moved out for the summer. I sold all of my furniture except for my desk and donated a pretty large amount of stuff to Goodwill.

It's a pain to move large amounts of stuff, so I wanted to get rid of as much as possible.

Purging my coffee table, some dining room chairs, a night stand, some old lamps, and some random crap that i've accumulated. undergrad notes have been purged a long time ago.

just bought 2 bookshelves, an outdoor grill, a desk, and a dining room table. i went pretty crazy when i saw a sale at big lots recently.

GL on the move guys!
