Hi, I have a complicated situation and need some advice.
I am an IMG-Latin America and in 2010 decided to take the boards. Due to non academic reasons I never took any exam and forgot about it. Since then I have been working in private hospitals and clinics in my home country.
Since then, things have changed, and I am seriously thinking taking the boards and applying for a residence program.
My current status in ECFMG is: Did not schedule and/or did not take exam
It is almost 4 years since I graduated. During this time I did not try to enter in any residence program.
I don't have any recent experience working in the US (I did only two clerkships in 2009)
Taking this into consideration I want to know if I have any real chances of matching if eventually I pass the exams. If I have a good fighting chance, I will make the commitment to invest the time and money to study for the boards, but I need to decide this week.
Thanks, any help and advice is appreciated.
