Dear All,
I am IMG graduated in 2006 from a chinese school and have been working in ER of a public hospital in third world country since then. I have been studying for step 1 on and off at leisure for the past year, went through Kaplan only once and have completed 65% of UW thus far with 59% overall(recent blocks are 60%+). Due to time constrain from work, I have decided to postpone my exam once already, which ends this month! (Stupid me didn't realize that I can only extend it ONCE)
So last week I have taken off my work completely and focus on Uworld, but only manage 50-100q/day with detail reading on each question's answer.
I went and did:
UWSA1 470/211
NBME 6 460/214
??(some circulating equations: UW% x 2.44 + 70, in my case, 59x2.44 + 70 =213.xx)
Somehow I found UWSA to be slightly more difficult, because NBME do have some straight shot questions (of course, also those what the heck ones).
My aim is to get 90% and above to try and find a good program, hopefully university-based. The score so far doesn't look promising in that range.
Do anyone recommend I go in like this? (in 10days, the last date possible is 2/24) or should I postpone and wait for my readiness to be around 240+ in a month or so (which means 710 USD again...)??
Thanks! I really want my 99...hopefully....
