I'm a pediatrician strongly considering a career change to pathology, but basic anatomy and histology are a thing of my past. Any suggestions for good textbooks (and/or software) I can use to refamiliarize myself in these areas before starting a path residency program?

hey,
i used "clinical anatomy" by snell as a basic anatomy text. i thought it was good. netter also has a cd-rom with their atlas that i found *extremely* helpful. you can make quizzes for yourself where you either have to match the name with the atlas plate image or come up with the name of the body part on your own. if all you need to do is refresh which things are where, you could maybe just get by with this.
as for histo, i thought my textbook sucked so i'll leave it to someone else to make recommendations there.

BRS histo I think is pretty good, has a CD with it so that helps. Not sure about BRS Path, not there, but everyone around here uses it. Good luck.
