Hello, I am from Portugal and in the phase of choosing a speciality.
I would like if you could help me giving your opinions in relations to some specialities?

For instances which are the most wanted specialities in AMerica?
Which are the best specialities in your Medicine?
Which will be the specialities of the future? Which specialities will end?

I saw some posts about Imagiology, what will happen to it? Is there a good market? What is happening to American radiologists? Is a good speciality right now? How will it be in future?

What you think about Dermatology? What are the perspectives of the future for this speciality? Is it a good speciality in America right now? Advantages and desadvantages?

Allergy and Imunology? The same questions? How do you think that is? What are your opinions?

And about other medical specialities can you tell me something? Gastro? Endocrino?

And Neurology? How is Neurology for you?

Why is radiotherapy the speciality of the future?

And have you turn around and blame me when all my predictions turn out to be wrong?

Fat chance.

Pick something you like. If it happens to pay well and have a great lifestyle, great. If not, well, at least you like it.

Welcome to SDN.

You're asking a lot of questions on a whole variety of medical fields. I'd suggest browsing around the various residency forums here - e.g. for Dermatology, Radiology, Neurology, etc. - and read the sticky threads and FAQs there for more information. A good general guide like Iserson's "Getting Into A Residency" will also help describe all these different fields.

Best of luck.
