So my pre-requisites for Drake University are as follows. Composition I, Speech, Comp II, Bio I, Anatomy and Physiology I, Microbiology, Gen/Inorganic Chem I & II, Organic Chem I & II, Calculus, and Statisitics.

I have already accomplished both the comps in high school with an A and B respectively, and managed through Calc in hs as well. Last semester (my first in college) I screwed up and got an F in stat, a C in speech and a D in Bio. I am retaking stat and speech and am most likely getting between a B+ and an A in both. I understood a majority of the Bio but never showed up to class. Anyone have any suggestions as to how I should map out my schedule for my next few semesters? and I am taking Summer classes. Thinking about AP and Microbio this summer.

I would suggest scheduling to be in class from here on out. Really motivated students can do 8 science hours in the summer, but usually only the top notch ones get an A.

So one class a semester? I believe they're all 4 credit hours each.

Normally people do about 14-15 hours. To get done in a timely manner you will need to do at least 2 sciences + either 2 gen eds or calc and gen ed. If you are looking at a science BS degree before matriculation, plan on doing 3-4 sciences some semesters. Summer just stood out to me because that's what is on my mind now since I work at a college.

If you aren't acing Bio don't take AP and Micro in the summer. Take just one and if you feel you need the hours take a gen ed.

But all I really need now are 2 semesters of each General Chem and Organic chem course, Bio, Microbio, and one semester of AP. Right now I am taking them at a community college. I guess I am trying to say I am looking to apply ASAP for Pharmacy school. So I was considering AP and Micro because I really understood Bio, just did not show up to class as much as I should have. I sort of mapped it out to take gen chem and bio this fall, then gen chem II by itself next spring. but then that would leave me with 2 more semesters of school and I really don't want to waste any time. Should I retake Comp and try to bump it up by a grade or stick with the few classes a semester and work the rest of the time? I work in a Pharmacy and just recently became certified as a Technician.

Your college lets you take Micro without taking Biology II and with a D in Biology I? Also, I don't know about the pharmacy school you want to apply to, but some pharmacy schools require A and P I and II if your school has a I and II.

A and P is a lot of work, but I took mine in the summer and did well (I think A and P is easier when that's all you have to focus on).
I think taking Micro in the summer would be REALLY tough. I know some kids who were taking A and P and Micro in the summer and seemed super stressed. Some people were taking them together in the fall and seemed super stressed. I actually loved Micro and A and P, but it and A and P are a lot very quickly (especially in the summer). I guess you could consider it practice for pharmacy school 😛, but you might not want to work while taking them both.

I see no reason to take Comp again. Pharmacy school is going to care much more about your science grades than the fact that you got a B in English.

Personally, I would take Chem I and II (and possible retake Bio) this summer so you can get to Organic as quickly as possible. This doesn't leave you much time to work though :-( I know some community colleges offer Bio in like Jterm or weekend college. If you can, I would take Bio I and II this summer with Chem I and II (I did that, it sucks, but you get it done), IF you want to apply as soon as possible and IF you don't HAVE to work full time (there's no way to work full time (I'm not even sure about part time) and do all that this summer). Like blueheron said though, taking 8 hours each summer session takes a really dedicated student to make A's.
Fall I would take Organic I, Biology I (if needed), and A and P I (12 hours).
Spring I would take Organic II, Biology II (if needed), and Micro (12 hours).
I don't know how much you need to work though. I think you should be able to do 30 hours with that schedule though if your work is flexible. The summer will just suck.

You also want to take a close to full load of hours (15-18) if you can, since (in my opinion anyways) a lot of pharmacy schools want to make sure you can handle the workload.
