Hey guys and gals, I am looking for some help. The basics: NY resident, will be a senior at GWU, low 3.3 cGPA and BCPM GPA but with upward trend (3.5-3.6 last two semesters, will increase with easier senior classes), 31Q MCAT (11, 10, 10), lots of research and leadership, great letters. Applying to both DO and MD, do not care which, if I get into one I will go. Here are my schools so far:
Arkansas
GWU
Georgetown
Rosalind Franklin
University of Illinois
Louisville
Tulane, Michigan State
Albany
NY Medical College
SUNY Buffalo (by far my number one choice, I live in Buffalo)
SUNY Downstate
Stony Brook
Rochester
Toledo
Oklahoma
Drexel
Jefferson
Penn State
South Carolina
U of South Carolina
Vermont
Marshall
TCMC
UCF
Obviously I don't plan on applying to 25 schools, I am looking to apply to between ten and twenty, probably closer to twenty. Which schools should I remove from the list? AMCAS is ready to go, just picking schools now. I know my GPA will keep me out of a lot of schoosl, but I am looking for one acceptance anywhere, so I want to cast a wide net. Thanks in advance for the help.
