Help Finding Extra Curricular

I am in the military as a medic, spent one year training to become a medic and the last three drilling one weekend a month... so that is some clinical experience, but not a ton. Also I am now applying to volunteer at a local hospital, but how do I go about finding extra things that I can do here or there? Or how do you find research opportunities?

well mos ppl get involved in research through their school. if you have that opportunity then do that. and eny EC that shows you care about humanity and its well-being can be useful experience. heck find a small dr office to shadow or even start bingo night at the local rest home lol

I think your military medic thing is quite unique. You should be set for clinical experience.
