help! i'm applying super late & freaking out just a little!! is there hope?

So I submitted AADSAS on 9/2/09 but it isn't going to be mailed til 9/21... I'm really worried after seeing everyone's stuff on here and seeing people that have been rejected already but have good stats! I know have good stats but just want to know if I still have hope or if it's too late!!

GPA: 4.0
Major: Biochemistry
Minors: Math and Chemistry
DAT: 25AA/24PAT/24TS

I'm applying to some really tough schools and thought it would be ok that my app is getting sent later since most of their due dates aren't til Jan or Feb... but now I'm not so sure.

Tell me what you think! And is there anyone else in this situation???

Haha thanks. I'm just worried because I keep seeing on here that everyone submitted in July and the few people who submitted in August were freaking out and here I am not submitting til September!!

But yall are making me feel a little better!🙂

To make you feel better, i can give u the story of a girl i know who was in your exact shoes. she took her DAT on Sept. 9, got a 24AA. Had a 3.9 Biochem from UC Davis. Applied to UCLA, UCSF, UoP, and Harvard. Interview at all. Accepted at 3. Waitlisted at Harvard. You are going to be just fine girl. 🙂

As long as you apply to enough schools, at least 10-12, you're going to be in with those stats. I applied in November with pretty great DAT scores, though I must say yours are better overall, and I got into 3 schools, and wait listed at another. Check out my pre-dents for more info.

not necessary to apply to 10 schools with those stats in my opinion. should at least get interviews to every school she applies to regardless of how late the apps are going out.

Yup that may be. But the other reasons could be:
1. you don't have a posting history.
2. I appled a week later than you, with lower stats and am not sweating yet, and my career is VERY important to me.
3. You are a silver lining kind, but you did not know that you should not go with due dates !! 😴

But anyway if you are real, do not worry, whatever suppose to happen will happen and yeah welcome to SDN.

Maybe it's only like this in Oklahoma, but to me it seems like everyone & their dog is part Native American, lol so I guess minority is the majority here!

I'm not as worried about everything as I was before though, so everyone telling me not to freak out in the beginning was right! I'd still like to get interviews at some of my other schools, but I'm just counting myself lucky to have even gotten interviews. I'm excited for this whole process to really get going! 🙂

You're app was mailed around 9/21 you said? So it takes about another week or two for the school to process it. An October 20th interview is one of the quickest turn arounds I have witnessed on pre-dents or sdn. So if true, you must be something special.

Well, it's for my in-state school. I don't know that it necessarily means I'm something special to have had it scheduled so quickly, mainly just that I'm someone they would like to interview & because I'm in-state they can pretty much schedule it immediately without it being too inconvenient for me. haha

But I was definitely excited it came so quickly! It's my first one! 🙂
