Hello! So I have been reading a lot of info and people are using so many resources that I'm beginning to freak out and reconsider my method. But I am running very low on time

I am planning to take the DAT within a month (Before Jan 6th ideally)
All I have is the Kaplan review notes and the retail Kaplan book (and online tests). If I studied JUST the Kaplan Review notes & did section tests & full lengths until the DAT, would I be alright? Is Kaplan too easy? Too broad? 😕

Also I have been studying about 10 hrs a week for the past 2 months, but a lot of the material did not stick as I was also balancing some tough courses this semester.

My strongest point is PAT, I am mostly worried about the biology/orgo.
PLEASE help any info would be great!

Read the breakdowns and make a plan for the next month.

I highly recommend Chad DAT videos with quizzes. Like previous poster I use Cliff's AP biology. Also I like DAT qvault online, very useful for math and biology. Another thing I would not skip is Destroyer Orgo Road Maps....

I strongly suggest you purchase DAT destroyer and Math Destroyer. They both have questions similar to the DAT, and they are by far the best resource available.

I would recommend using Organic chemistry as a second language and Destroyer for organic chemistry, Schaums and McMurry for General chemistry and Cliffs with Cambells for bio. Also you can use Odyssey along with Deatroyer and Kaplan to do some quizzes and check your knowledge. Hope this helps. Good luck.

I just took my DAT this week. In the amount of time you have left I would say that the best and most readily available resource you can use is Chad's videos. Try to get a hold of Cliffs AP Bio and DAT Destroyer as soon as possible. As most people have said, these are great resources and are sure to boost your score if you are able to understand and remember everything. Good luck

I am in the same spot as @Dish (I have only been doing the Kaplan online course and all of their tests and such) except I am taking the exam in the middle of January, not the beginning.

When the Cliffs AP bio book is suggested, what is the suggestion for how to study with it? Read and memorize each chapter?

I plan on going over Chad's videos as well and have the DAT orgo destroyer. I have heard the DAT orgo destroyer goes too far in depth and at this point would no be worth it?!

Lastly, though I have thought that I am doing well with the PAT, I have heard it is much, much more difficult on the actual exam than on the Kaplan course (especially with the angles, which are quite obvious for the Kaplan quizzes). With that said, I have thought about buying the PAT destroyer (I think that is what it is called).

Thoughts? Comments? Suggestions?

Ok great I am looking into DAT Destroyer. Thanks so much!!
I was also wondering have the questions from Kaplan that were on the practice tests ever come up during the actual test?

Seriously take 15 minutes and check out DAT Elisse post. It is chock full of all of the info you covet. You will get more info there than from a few measly responses on this post.

CHAD CHAD CHAD. You can even watch him on 1.5x speed to make everything faster. Take his quizzes, understand what he teaches, and you will be set.
For bio, I used Cliff's AP and Barron's AP. If I had to recommend just one, I'd go with Barron's because it was an easier read.
I highly recommend the math destroyer, but if time is of the essence, I don't recommend using just the general destroyer. Efficiency is key, and it was much harder than the actual exam. For me, studying it just didn't end up being practical whatsoever. Chad's quizzes are more realistic. I didn't use qvault, but I've heard great things about it.
Yes, and definitely check out the "la datélisse thread." Good stuff right there!
Best of luck!

Inbox me. I can send u my o chem notes. You need the destroyer.
