Hi everyone, I am in a unique situation and would really appreciate advice on whether or not to apply to dental school this cycle. My undergraduate GPA is a 3.14 overall and a 3.02 science.

My DAT scores are as follows:

PAT: 19
QR: 21
RC: 18
BIO: 21
CHEM: 20
OCHEM: 19
AA:20
TS: 20

I am currently in a 1 year masters program in Physiology at Case Western. I have no grades for graduate school as it just started. I spoke to a few counselors and none of them could really give me any definitive advice as to what I should do. Do I have a chance to get in to school if I apply? Or should I wait til next cycle when I have all my gradaute school grades in? Thanks!

Did you apply with those stats before? If so, then you'll get the same result. Just wait until next cycle.

You're DAT scores are good however those GPAs are a little alarming. My advice is to wait and finish your master's and then apply. Some schools will actually take your master's GPA over your undergraduate if you are finished by the time you apply. If you can crush your classes and get an awesome GPA you will have a much better shot!

Your stats are similar to mine. I'm also doing a masters.

Apply June 2012 with 3.8 grad GPA or higher. I hope we both will have a shot.
