I had a cGPA 2.8 graduate from top 10 university and my sGPA is worse since I was a bio major.
So I am currently doing a postbac @ state school (1st yr) that's more like taking undergraduate upper division classes and it is not 100% structuralized. (Academic Enhancement)
By the end of 2yr postbac, I think I can pull up my GPA to 3.2~3.3 overall.
Also, I have a 32 MCAT for now.
1. Should I aim for SMP, then retake MCAT to get 35ish, then apply to med schools after SMP?
2. Should I get a higher MCAT score 35ish and apply right away?
Which one would you do 1 or 2? The premed advisor/program director told me just apply to med school right away, but I am not sure if it will work. I kind feel like he's just saying that to give me confidence (being nice perhaps?) also increase the rate of people who graduate from this program that do get into med school. (Imagine if all the graduating students go to SMP after, then he will not have solid data for successful rate to recruit new students)
