Hey everyone,

I just graduated from ASU with a "Pre-Professional" BS degree and I'm having trouble deciding where I should apply. Obviously, I understand this is a very personal decision but I would like some advice. With just the two private schools in Arizona, I don't really know where to apply OOS. I have looked but have been unable to find threads that have information on OOSF schools towards Arizona residents. My Dad is a dentist and went to Nebraska, although he isn't the best Alumni (his words, not mine). I also have a really good connection with Midwestern so I'm not too nervous about an acceptance or at least an interview there.

oGPA: 3.86
sGPA: 3.70 (roughly depending on how its calculated)
BCP: About the same as science. Maybe a little lower.

I have about 150 hours of general shadowing at a office with multiple doctors and another 140 hour internship with an Oral Surgeon that let me assist all the time.

About 300 hours of volunteer. I was able to be a leader for a week long trip to Mexico where we built a house for a family in Tijuana.

I have 1 LOR from my biochem professor (received a A+ in her class and I am going to IA for her this next semester), 1 from the oral surgeon who absolutely loved me, 1 from my boss (I worked 30+ hours/week of retail as a manager for 4 years), and I am looking for one more at least from a science professor (which might end up being kind of weak).

If anyone can give me some advice on where to apply out of state that would be much appreciated!

If you get the ADEA book you can see how much oos students are being accepted by different school. You could also search through the threads and see where people with similar stats as yours got accepted to/applied to. That usually helps with coming up with a school list.

Thank you! I just know that some schools may have high numbers of OOS acceptances but that may still be heavily from states in there region rather than truly OOS friendly. Just wanted to hear some names of schools thrown out into the mix! Thank you so much again!

In the book it tells you where all the out of state acceptances are from. Also your stats are good so you most likely will be fine!
