Here's a little background about me, but you can skip to the end where the school list is.

I took my DAT last week and don't have my results yet, but I was scoring around a 19 on the last couple of my practice tests (bootcamp). I'm projecting a score of 18-20, hopefully it will be on the higher end of that so I don't have to retake.

EC/Stats: I have 250+ shadowing hours, 120-150 volunteering with the majority of it at habitat for humanity. My cGPA is ~3.5 and sGPA ~3.5 as well with an upward trend minus a couple recent B's. I have ~1k hours of experience, all of which are from the military (reserves, so idk if that takes away from anything. I do have another 4 years of active duty, but for a career field that is non-relevant to dental, if that counts for anything).

My gpa is weighed down from when I first went to school at a community college 10 years ago, so I'm hoping they will appreciate the improvements I've made. That also means some of my credits are likely considered expired. I've just graduated this semester and have enrolled in biology 1 this summer at the old community college I used to go to, to freshen up the credits. Would I have to retake non-science credits like english I? As far as other sciences like gen chem, I've already retaken those with A's.

I am asian and white, so i don't qualify as URM, but I did have a non-desirable upbringing and wasn't born in the US (I do have my citizenship).

I still have my GI bill, so really, i'm not as concerned about the debt. I understand the GI bill doesn't cover all of private school tuition, but I've decided excluded finances as a factor in my list.

Current school list:
Arizona / Midwestern
Illinois / Midwestern
Roseman
missouri / MOSDOH
OU (in state)
Arizona / ATSU-ASDOH
LECOM
Detroit Mercy
UKCD
Louisville - ULSD
Marquette
NYU
Creighton
Colorado U

School list I am contemplating on adding to my current list:
Temple
Touro
WVU
Tufts
Boston U

What do you think about my current list? Would you change anything about it and would you add any of the school that I'm contemplating to my list? Would you remove anything from my current list?

Thanks for taking the time to read all of this, I know it's a lot.

As a military person, you should know the details make a difference. It's almost like you're being insubordinate... not a very military-like characteristic.

State of residence matters. Your list looks like you don't understand that detail is critical to analyzing your list. Dental admissions is very regional-focused. You say OU is your in-state, so I hope you mean Oklahoma and not Oregon (OHSU). That's a major difference in detail, and it would give me a remarkable difference in assessing your list based on what you disclosed.

Another rule of dental school: follow instructions. Many faculty members got trained by HPSP over the years and come to faculty with a high officer rank. We expect better.

Sorry for coming off this way. I will follow the guides here as soon as I get some time.

Yes, OU as in Oklahoma.
